Description Jesper Toft 2003-08-10 07:06:16 UTC
When ejecting a pcmcia compact flash adaptor (ide_cs) the kernel panics at
sched.c:1141. Its reproduceable as it happens every time, even if i just insert and
ejects it, without using it. I can eject network adaptors without problems. kernel =
2.4.20-gentoo-r5. Works just fine with a plain 2.4.20.

Are you using the pcmcia-cs drivers or the kernel drivers? What version of pcmcia-cs do you have installed?
Comment 2 Jesper Toft 2003-08-10 11:34:28 UTC
The one from the kernel. sys-apps/pcmcia-cs-3.2.4.
Comment 3 Tim Yamin (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-08-26 15:34:06 UTC
Please enable "Pre-emptible Kernel" *or* eject the card using cardctl first...
