The problem addressed by openafs-1.2.6.patch has been fixed by the OpenAFS
developers. Their official patch file is attached. It can be used in place of
openafs-1.2.6.patch if there is a 1.2.10-r1 ebuild, although there should be no
difference in function.

Steps to Reproduce:





The main purpose of this report is to announce that the patch has been
incorporated into the OpenAFS code base; it will not be needed in 1.2.11 and
later releases.

The following files in files/ are not used in ebuilds 1.2.8 and later:

afs.rc
kaserver-patch.diff
openafs-1.2.5-sunrpc-overflow.patch
openafs-1.2.8-errno.patch

ryan,  steve is interested but to a limited extent, in maintaining openafs - so I rather think we should bring him on board with at least one other person
