in rc.conf it reads that if you wish to use the default console font, just comment out the line CONSOLEFONT="blah" ...
however, the consolefont script performs this check:
if [ -n "$CONSOLEFONT" ] ; then
<setup the console font and do other stuff>
else
eerror "You must setup $CONSOLEFONT"
fi
imo, if you want the default console font, that does not constitute an error ... so the fix is to either update rc.conf to say 'rc-update del consolefont in order to use the default consolefont' or update the consolefont script to not do 'eerror' but rather say:
einfo 'Using the default console font'
personally, i'd prefer if the consolefont script changes, that way i dont have to mess around with rc-update ...
