![]() Please have a look at /usr/share/doc/tar-1.22/NEWS.bz2: * Short option -J reassigned as a short equivalent of --xz So tar now uses xz-utils (which are in portage but masked vurrently) instead of lzma-utils. You can still (de)compress archives with lzma using tar this way: tar --use-compress-program=lzma ... |
