however l7-fitler is such a retared package that in emerges and patches a kernel. this kernel then needs to be compiled with l7-support before iptables can detect this write.

given the kernel is necessarly the same a DEPEND cannot be used.

I'm going to remove all of l7-filter the first chance I get. try l7-userspace and see if that works. it will be a whole heap less package troubles.
