it looks like intltool got installed without execute permissions! $ ls -l /usr/bin/ |grep intltool -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 23462 Mar 7 11:36 intltool-extract -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 39387 Mar 7 11:36 intltool-merge -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 8669 Mar 7 11:36 intltool-prepare -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 31067 Mar 7 11:36 intltool-update -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 7992 Mar 7 11:36 intltoolize why would that happen? chmod 755 /usr/bin/intltool* fixes the problem.
