When trying to boot the LiveCD athlonxp 31.7.2003 1.4 with the acpi kernel, acpi 
produced error messages and acpid turned out to be absent on the livecd. I did not 
check the other livecds whether the problem occurs there too. 
 
Reproducible: always.

I can confirm this bug for the P3-Livecd, and the latest 6x86-Livecd.

But there is more:

1. the acpi-modules do not load correctly (no big problem, it's not that important for the installation , but ..)

2. the apic-irq-routing does not seem to work, and it should (tried it with default debian)

2.ACPI-irq-routing ( not apic .. )

some boards need apic for acpi-irq-routing to work, maybe this is
the case with your board?
noapic is passed by default
