media-libs/mesa-7.3 enabling/disabling asm inverted. So, on x86 without pic "--disable-asm" happens twice. Fixed ebuild attached. I use this ebuild as "mesa-9999.ebuild" for nouveau, but there are fixed 7.3 with only warnings with too new features. Also I do not use "!" to care about "configure" script default behavior.

PS layman via svn pull too old (vs overlays.gentoo.org) sunrise content. I installed nouveau with dependences by hands yesterday from overlays.gentoo.org.
