That is nothing unusual. At aroung kernel-2.6.22 (or was it 2.6.24? dunno exactly) the kernel-devs decided to unify x86 (32bit) and x86_64 (64bit) arches under the same directory (x86). Just check out this link for reference: http://lkml.org/lkml/2007/7/20/447 And don't worry, your kernel will be x86_64 capable or else yor system couldn't boot from that kernel. |
