Well I tried this .... http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-715572-highlight-mythtv+conflicting+declaration+typedef+int+int32.html 1. eselect opengl from nvidia to xorg-x11 2. emerge newer mythtv .21 (stable version) 3. eselect opengl from xorg-x11 to nvidia This solved my problem ... leaving open for you to decide if this is still a bug since emerging with nvidia consistently failed. Are you really building Myth on a 486? No, I didn't think it made a big difference. Could this be related to the problem I had? And CHOST="i486-pc-linux-gnu" is the default for a stage3-x86-2008.0.tar.bz2 install. (In reply to comment #4) > And CHOST="i486-pc-linux-gnu" is the default for a stage3-x86-2008.0.tar.bz2 > install. > Right, x86 install is for i486 and under. Any modern computer should be using at least the 686 install. Start over, try that, and report back. I'm betting you'll have lots more success. What version of the nvidia-drivers where you using? I'm willing to bet if you tried a more up to date version you'd have a better experience. |
