glibc fails to build with a file collision error.  The following files collide with sys-libs/timezone-data-2008i:

Do you want all 13 Megs of it?  I checked the file and the use of "zoneinfo" is spread out near the beginning and the end.

then compress it

the glibc package stopped providing /usr/share/zoneinfo/ a long time ago

I realized yesterday that I had the 'vanilla' use flag set for glibc.  I don't remember why I would have done that.  I unset it and the build went through.
