Description Arhont 2009-02-20 13:30:54 UTC
I believe ophcrack-3.1.0 can be moved to stable, at least on amd64 arch.

I've been running it on on four different machines, 2x Core2Duo, 2x Xeon Quad,
for the past week.

Cacking about 15000 passwords, both LM and NTLM, with free as well as Special
tables.
two machines(core2duo) were running in GUI, two machines (Xeon's) in
command-line mode.

All been fine so far.

Reproducible: Always

With the recent fixes being made to the ebuild, I would target 3.1.0-r2, not 3.1.0:
*ophcrack-3.1.0-r2 (20 Feb 2009)

  20 Feb 2009; Mike Auty <ikelos@gentoo.org> -ophcrack-2.4.1.ebuild,
  +ophcrack-3.1.0-r2.ebuild:
Add USE flags for the gui and debugging.

*ophcrack-3.1.0-r1 (07 Feb 2009)

  07 Feb 2009; Mike Auty <ikelos@gentoo.org> +ophcrack-3.1.0-r1.ebuild:
Change dependency on ophcrack from qt to qt-gui, hopefully fixing bug
  257922.

To target 3.1.0-r1, you should wait until March 7. To target 3.1.0-r2, you should wait until March 20. Also, if you do decide to reopen this bug at the appropriate point in time, you *need* to attach emerge --info. This is not optional.
