I have created a net.bond0.2 init script and added the appropriate line to
create a new vlan device bond0.2, but the script dies when parsing the net file
in /etc/conf.d.

I have been able to deal with bonds and bridges, but vlans don't work easily.

This is also a more general request to add bond, bridge, and vlan support to the
network init scripts.

Even better would be one 'net' script that parses /etc/conf.d/net and starts up
appropriate interfaces, instead of having net.ethN. Have interfaces able to be
started and stopped by default and then others able to be started by command
line. Like, /etc/init.d/net start eth1. also add the capability to do something
like /etc/init.d/net stop all.

hmm .. i know nothing about vlan devices ..

Support seems to have come down the line. I have added better support on
a different bug # 30688 so hopefully that will get integrated, but i think
this bug is solved.
