Summary: app-portage/eix-0.15.2: search of string 'http' is ignored.

Description nando.sm 2009-02-10 17:15:27 UTC
Whenever you search for the 'http' string, it is the same thing as the empty string. For example: there is a package named http-replicator when you do the search as "http-replicator" it matches, "http replicator" also, and "replicator" does the same. But if you search for "http" it matches everything. Doing the search "http lxde" or "lxde http" brings the same matches as "lxde", but does not match lxappearance which has lxde in its url. When I did a "http-" search it matched httpclient for some reason.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. $ eix http

Actual Results:
matches everithing, as in:
$ eix

Expected Results:
should match for every package with http in its name.

You need to set the DEFAULT_MATCH_FIELD.

'emerge --name http' does what you expect.

Sorry, that should be 'eix --name http'
