First of all you should try to move from monolythic qt ebuild to split packages. That means that you should remove qt-4.4.2 and emerge every qt-X-4.4.2 package that you need Those are qt-core, qt-gui, qt-dbus etc All Gui patches are applied on qt-gui. You may want to try want to try the latest qt-gui-4.4.2-r2 and see if you can reproduce the same problem Upgrading to qt-gui 4.4.2-rc2 prevents the application from crashing, but makes "view" or "ignore" buttons inside the kopete notification both useless. Pressing anyone of them now does nothing. Before the upgrade they were working correctly, but pressing any of them (or just letting the notification fade away) would result in a crash of plasma. So now that I looked, we already apply the patch for this bug. We schedule a new revbump for qt-gui with new patches. So I am closing this bug as LATER since your issue is solver with the later qt-gui :) |
