Same here

/etc/make.conf:
VIDEO_CARDS="nv nvidia vesa fbdev"

 * Messages for package dev-libs/DirectFB-1.2.6:

 * All video drivers will be built since you did not specify
 * via the VIDEO_CARDS variable what video card you use.
 * DirectFB supports: ati128 cle266 cyber5k i810 i830 mach64 matrox neomagic none nsc nvidia radeon savage sis315 tdfx unichrome all none
 * Each DirectFB update in the 0.9.xx series
 * breaks DirectFB related applications.
 * Please run "revdep-rebuild" which can be
 * found by emerging the package 'gentoolkit'.
 *
 * If you have an ALPS touchpad, then you might
 * get your mouse unexpectedly set in absolute
 * mode in all DirectFB applications.
 * This can be fixed by removing linuxinput from
 * INPUT_DEVICES.

MAYBE(!) this bug is connected to http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=217796

@reporter: May you change the Severity to enhancement, because this doesn't cause the ebuild to fail - it just causes non-neccessary parts to be build.
Comment 3 Henning Ryll 2009-02-26 18:35:19 UTC
Sorry, you are wrong.
Because no driver is build (not more then needed), the ebuild is still unusable -> severity major
Comment 4 Juho-Mikko Pellinen 2009-03-23 09:27:53 UTC
This bug is essentially duplicate of 217796 and that bug contains more information, so this should be closed and marked as duplicate.
