Description Piotr 2009-01-31 23:33:34 UTC
Markus Ullmann <jokey@gentoo.org> have masked games-puzzle/ksudoku and marked it for deletind saying that it already is in portage as kde-base/ksudoku. It is true but version which is in kde-base require kde-libs-4*. I am user of kde-3 and I don't want to compile whole kde-libs-4 for just one game and I don't want to change KDE yet.
So because of the difference in dependencies please leave games-puzzle/ksudoku in portage.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Comment 1 Neil Bothwick 2009-02-01 10:26:58 UTC
Should games-puzzle/ksudoku be slotted, like the kde-base versions?

Either way, it should not be removed frothe tree while KDE 3.5 remains.

Jokey/KDE team: *please* remove this mask and get the package moved. Thanks!

Thank you! ;-)
Comment 6 Vlastimil Babka (Caster) (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2009-02-01 19:45:51 UTC
Looks like you did the package move and removed games-puzzle/ksudoku package, but did not add the 0.4 version as a different slot to the kde-base/ksudoku package. Which effectively removes the kde3 version and I suppose was not the intention?
Comment 7 Richard Freeman gentoo-dev 2009-02-02 11:48:03 UTC
Agree. I imagine it was a mistake. If not, we generally shouldn't be replacing stable packages with unstable ones except in the event of security issues.

bah, didn't really check repoman output properly on the way of the merge...
kde eclass has some funky magic in it when ebuilds are in kde-base....
