With media-sound/mpc-0.12.1 and app-shells/bash-completion-20060301 auto completion worked for the library database within mpd. By this I mean that after I typed something like "mpc add local/", I could press the tab key to see all the media within the local directory. This is no longer possible with mpc-0.14 and bash-completion-20081218.
Moreover, to get bash-completion to work, one has to source the file /etc/profile.d/bash-completion.sh but I believe that to be immaterial to this bug report - there is already another bug report regarding this issue (#250291).
