Renaming the 3.8.1 ebuild works fine. But suggest dropping the
dev-python/egenix-mx-base rdepend as changelog has:
   Dropped dependence on mx.DateTime module.

N.B. it also says:
   Dropped support for Python below 2.3 and PostgreSQL below 7.4
