Description Diego Elio Pettenò (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2009-01-24 19:03:31 UTC
I've noticed through Google Webmaster Tools that there were requests to my blog with a final %25 (") on various posts, checking where the links came from, it turns out it's archives.gentoo.org .

If you look for instance at the page in URL (which is a commit email on the raw code of a G[WM]N edition, you'll see that all the links in the <url> link's attribute get a " appended to them.

Maybe just for the sake of users one should check that the characters are valid before doing autolinking?

[I don't sincerely care for my blog's post since I just set mod_rewrite to kick them out of the way]

https://github.com/vmg/rinku/issues/46 describes a similar problem in the new linking library. Hoping this gets fixed there.

Seems like this has been resolved with the linking. I haven't noticed anything unusual in the archives.g.o. Can we close this?

a3li's issue is fixed since rinku-2.0.2. ::gentoo is at 2.0.6, I think we're good to close.
