P.S: you my replace your keywords string with KEYWORDS="~amd64 ~x86" Works perfectly here: http://i.imgur.com/3Fx43.png :) Hello, The Gentoo Team would like to firstly thank you for your ebuild submission. We also apologize for not being able to accommodate you in a timely manner. There are simply too many new packages. Allow me to use this opportunity to introduce you to Gentoo Sunrise. The sunrise overlay[1] is a overlay for Gentoo which we allow trusted users to commit to and all users can have ebuilds reviewed by Gentoo devs for entry into the overlay. So, the sunrise team is suggesting that you look into this and submit your ebuild to the overlay where even *you* can commit to. =) Thanks, On behalf of the Gentoo Sunrise Team, Markos. This is now in the sunrise overlay. You can find it at: http://overlays.gentoo.org/proj/sunrise/browser/reviewed/app-admin/conkyforecast after review. +*conkyforecast-2.12 (24 Aug 2010) + + 24 Aug 2010; Michael Weber (xmw) <xmw@gentoo.org> + +conkyforecast-2.12.ebuild, +metadata.xml: + Initial commit for conkyforecast. Fixes bug #255948, thanks to Hans Meier + for the report and Christopher Robin Elmersson for the initial ebuilds How do I make an ebuild for conkyForecast from this? I'm confused. I have conkyForecast, the masked package from portage, but I can't seem to get it to display the weather. Do I need to make an ebuild some how? Is an ebuild compiling from source? I'm confused, please help. Thanks! (In reply to comment #9) > How do I make an ebuild for conkyForecast from this? I'm confused. I'm confused, please help. Thanks! > conkyForecast is now in portage. Add "app-admin/conkyforecast **" to /etc/portage/package.keywords and then do "emerge conkyforecast". To use conkyforecast, you must use conky. The settings for conkyforecast are specified therein. You could take a look at this post I did some time ago - http://blog.segfault.co.in/?p=73 (everyone, excuse the blogspam). Thanks for the blog, I am going to check it out. I want to thank-you fore this, because I have been trying to figure out conkyForecast for the last two days. I have downloaded it from the portage tree as you have stated already, done research to get certain data and tested it out, but I've gone astray somewhere and am having trouble. I'm going to check out the blog now, thanks for your help! (In reply to comment #10) > (In reply to comment #9) > > How do I make an ebuild for conkyForecast from this? I'm confused. I'll look over it again, and see if I have made some mistakes. Created attachment 287845 [details] Ebuild for version 2.20 Conky Forecast has been updated to 2.20.
