Here is a patch that's required for touchpads like those in my ThinkPad T61. It identifies only as a touchpad and not as a mouse. Without this change to /usr/share/hal/fdi/policy/10osvendor/10-x11-input.fdi the touchpad will not with an input-hotplug-using X server.

Tony, I CC'd you because there appears to be no freedesktop@g.o Bugzilla user for some reason, and you've made recent changes to HAL.

Sorry, I failed to list this in the ChangeLog, but it's in there for 0.5.11-r7, in the tree as of today.
