noffle is another small nntp server (like leafnode) which is aimed at leaf sites. It offers many advanced features like filtering, online/offline - mode, transparent proxy/pass through mode. It is more efficient as leafnode (or so they claim), all articles are managed through a gdbm database.  this ebuild sets the default news server to news.gmane.org, but it doesn't setup noffle to be run by (x)inet.d (is there a standard for adding entries to inet.d - like systems? I'm asking because i'm using tcpserver)  Thanks, Andreas Happe

sorry for the delay, had to build mozilla since links/dillo had problems with
the bugtrack system
