Why is this marked obsolete? The package is still missing, and other packages, like x11-misc/winswitch / x11-wm/xpra depend on it for certain functionality (access to X11 sessions). Please reopen. P.S: "Proof": winswitch_applet outputs an error: LocalX11ServerUtil.detect_existing_sessions() cannot detect local X11 displays without utmp support (either python-utmp or pyutmp) An alternative would by pyutmp, e.g. if there is any reason not to support python-utmp. See-Also: https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=552472 Note, that there is also https://pypi.python.org/pypi/utmp, but that is Python 3.4 only, and thus does not help for winswitch (Python 2.7). +*utmp-0.4 (19 Jun 2015) + + 19 Jun 2015; Justin Lecher <jlec@gentoo.org> +metadata.xml, +utmp-0.4.ebuild: + New package, ebuild written by me; bug #255003 |
