Do you still have the errors when you do the following? emerge -n portage-utils && emerge -1 $(qlist -CI x11-drivers) (In reply to comment #4) > Do you still have the errors when you do the following? > > emerge -n portage-utils && emerge -1 $(qlist -CI x11-drivers) > Without any errors. So did this fix your problems you reported in this bug? (In reply to comment #6) > So did this fix your problems you reported in this bug? > Nope. But I can fix this trouble by other way. I'd tried to localize the problem by installing previous versions of xorg-server (1.5.2) and xorg (7.3). But this is not helping me. Starting of X crashed with same error. But! When I re-emerge the currrent versions of xorg-server and xorg it's... working! Now fglrx driver working fine but without opengl feature. Open source driver is not tested. Selffix to previous message: It was not fglrx driver. It was open source driver. And when I try to switch opengl feature on by 'eselect opengl set ati' this problems begins again. And I find that xorg.conf is deleted. I restore it from backup and working under VESA driver again. (In reply to comment #8) Selffix #2. Re-emerging xorg-server and xorg but without swithing opengl interface and deleting xorg.conf file temporarily solve problem. Which version of media-libs/mesa do you have, and could you try if re-emerging that (after emerging the newer x11-base/xorg-server) fixes the issue? > Which version of media-libs/mesa do you have, and could you try if re-emerging > that (after emerging the newer x11-base/xorg-server) fixes the issue? Version of media-libs/mesa is 7.2. I'm re-emerged only xorg-server & xorg. And I noticed that instruction which described installing of fglrx and AMD/ATI drivers strongly changed (added more information about flags, editing of make.conf and some kernel issues). I'm speaking about this: http://www.gentoo-wiki.info/ATI_drivers and this: http://en.gentoo-wiki.com/wiki/Fglrx. I'm installed Gentoo more 1,5 years ago and used other instruction for video card configuration. As I remember it was gentoo.org manual. Not wiki. I will try to configure my card using this links to wiki tomorrow. But crashes when i trying to use xorg.conf is very strange. |
