Description Tristan Henderson 2003-07-28 05:02:10 UTC
media-gfx/gimp-1.3.17 fails to compile on my gentoo 1.2 box (it might be the older gcc 2.9.5, but I'm
not sure...)

Comment 1 Martin Holzer (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-07-28 08:05:02 UTC
just add -mmmx to your CFLAGS and try again
Comment 2 foser (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-07-28 09:26:46 UTC
and -mmx in your USE . There are some known problems with the .17 release and mmx, should be fixed in CVS and .18 . But since this is a p.mask-ed dev release we're not gonna do anything about it right now.

Please report if disabling mmx helped though.
Comment 3 Tristan Henderson 2003-07-28 11:27:16 UTC
-mmmx doesn't appear to be a valid flag for gcc 2.9.5

building with USE="-mmx" works though - thanks!
