media-gfx/splash-themes-gentoo installs the splash theme natural_gentoo but also hints to a grub splash for that theme originally included in upstream's tarball.  The user is pointed to http://www.kde-look.org/content/show.php?content=49074, but maybe we could include it in grub-splashes
