Bug 253718 – x11-base/xorg-server-1.5.3- Fatal server error: could not open default cursor font 'cursor'

Whenever I log out from kde, instead respawning kdm, X crashes. kdm.log (and Xorg.0.log) says:

Fatal server error:
could not open default cursor font 'cursor'

Hardware is a 24' iMac with RadeonHD 2600 Pro (RV6xx), happens with both radeonhd and fglrx drivers. Problem goes away when downgrading to xorg-server-1.5.2.

1. Upgrade to xorg-server-1.5.3, recompile evdev+graphics drivers
2. Start kde
3. Log out from kde

Could you check bug #252793 and see if that matches your experience.

Also, please check whether an ordinary `startx' produces the same error.
