Try commenting out the /etc/fstab entry for your CD-ROM drive since gnome uses hal to handle the mounting. Just a little tought: On my other computer, with Ubuntu, the fstab entry is not commented, so why does it work there? Great, glad it worked! Not sure, I've never tried Ubuntu. Maybe they do something atypical? |
