When I tried to emerge gkrellkam I ran into two small problems.

1.  It could not seem to find the gtk package I believe it was trying to search
for the ebuild gtk+2 when the package seems to be just gtk.

2.  The version of gkrellkam that gentoo emerges only works with gkrellm 2,
which is the version that is emerged.  However it does not seem to include the
client, it only seems to include the daemon.

Reproducible: Didn't try
Steps to Reproduce:
1.try to emerge gkrellmkam without gtk or gkrellm currently installed.

Expected Results:  
installed gtk and installed gkrellm 2 with the client

Unfortantly I did not save the errors.

How I got around my trouble.

1. emerge gtk
2. downloaded, compiled, installed gkrellm2 from the gkrellm2 website.
