Description Clint Silvester 2003-07-24 13:25:05 UTC
if you run "ebuild /usr/portage/net-p2p/freenet/freenet-0.5.2.1-r3.ebuild config"
it downloads new files for freenet from freenetproject.org, which seems to be
slashdotted or having big issues, which takes about 20 minutes for transfer to
start, and then after that it says press a key withing 2 seconds to
reconfigure....... um, hello? I just ran the config option cause i wanted to
configure it, not to play a speed game with the ebuild. I guess it wouldn't be
so bad if the site wasn't hosed, but 2 seconds? come on. I'm sure there's other
ways to configure it. This just got my goat.

i didn't want to delay for too long cuz that would be annoying. You do not have to say yes to updating files in order to reconfigure so there is no need to wait for any download. The download takes about 20 seconds on my machine any way tho ;-)

Also, you can answer the question about reconfiguring ahead of time I usually do
y <ENTER> uc
in order to update to the latest unstable build, and configure...

Maybe I'll change it tho...

Clint, are you satisfied with the proposed solution?

Re-assign a stale bug to maintainer, if this is no longer an issue, then please
close.
