Comment 2 jamatik 2008-12-21 20:00:08 UTC
version from comment #1 does NOT solve this
Comment 3 jamatik 2009-01-11 09:59:32 UTC
fixed in git - see http://code.google.com/p/pyicqt/issues/detail?id=145
Comment 4 Richard H. 2009-01-19 01:28:49 UTC
version 0.8.1.1 is out!
Upstream Post: http://groups.google.com/group/py-transports/browse_thread/thread/9f933ac692ce9959
Distfile: http://pyicqt.googlecode.com/files/pyicqt-0.8.1.1.tar.gz

By the way: For the Version from #1 to work you need to set <detectunicode>x</detextunicode>

Where x is one of 0,1,2. See the referenced post.

ebuild for 0.8.1.1 (renamed 0.8.1 ebuild)

I have tried this version by simply renaming the 0.8.1 ebuild.

Set detectunicode to 2, and everything seems to be fine again.

Still, 0.8.1 remains broken and should probably be really masked.

0.8.1.1 is in the tree, seems griffon26 just forgot to close this bug.
