As described in that url, firefox fails to start, if compiled with specfic compile option used at the experimental hardened overlay (which will hopefulyl get the standard gentoo hardened toolchain some time in the future).

I have taken the patch they applied to their trunk, removed those parts that are not in xulrunner/firefox and created this way patches for both ebuilds (xulrunner-1.9.0.5 and mozilla-firefox-3.0.5).

I applied them both and firefox works again without a problem for me. Please add those patches for now until the next releases will fix this issue.

Fixed on patchset 1.9.0.5-0.1 and 3.0.5-0.1 respectively.
