Bug 25173 – Gentoo unable to identify CardBus 3.3V (PCMCIA networks card)

According to some obscure spanish site I found this PCMCIA card really uses 
RealTek technology. I don't have the expertise or knowledge to get this thing 
working though.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Boot up with the Gentoo Install CD
Actual Results:  
Gentoo was unable to find my PCMICA card.

Expected Results:  
It should have found the PCMICA card and used the RealTek drivers.

Computer:
IBM iSeries (Laptop)
Intel Celeron 700 MHz
192 MB RAM
10 GB HD
PCMCIA Card: CardBus 3.3V

There might possibly be Linux drivers from the card supplied by the vendor. But 
since I'm currently stuck in Norway for 3 more weeks I won't be able to get my 
hands on them.

Do you know if this works on other distributions?  I suspect your problem reflects a problem with the pcmcia-cs upstream package, rather than with our ebuild.

This appears to be more of a problem with the installation medium. Which install CD did you use?

There have been at least 3 releases since this bug was filed.  It has been over a year since Chad asked for more information.  I think it is safe to say we can close this one with NEEDINFO.

Moving these so we can remove the "Install CD" component from "Gentoo Linux".

I apologize to everyone for this spam, but according to the bugzilla developers,
this is the only reasonable way to do this.
