Sorry, meant to add that to my initial report - 3.4.10.902
For now, I've added 'initramfs' as an alias to 'ramdisk' in git. The man page is horribly out of date. There are a ton of new features that have been added to genkernel in the last year that aren't documented in there (but they are in --help).
