It's not. The elog messages clearly indicate that you could either install apache or ruby-fcgi. (Whether the maintainers will honour your request is quite another issue.)

OK, then, gorg should have use flags for apache and fcgi. Anyway, some way of depending on "the right thing".

You would thing this is the obvious thing to do, wouldn't you?
That's how the original ebuild I suggested was.
USE flags were removed. Go figure...
Since I am not an ebuild developer, there's nothing I can do about this.

Reassigning to ruby@g.o
Not really a ruby issue, but you guys are the closest team with some understanding of these things. Fix or close anyway you think is most suitable.
Cheers.

I've added gorg-0.6.3-r2 to CVS which has the apache2 and fastcgi USE flags. I've also switched to EAPI=2 to facilitate the ruby-dbi dependency in case of the mysql USE flag.

Thanks for taking care of that.
Could you add a dependency on mod_fcgid when both apache2 and fastcgi USE flags are set? Thanks.

Should be now fixed in gorg-0.6.3-r3. Sorry for the delay!
