Same problem here. I also tried net-p2p/deluge which dies with a similar error (python: cairo.c:87: _cairo_error: Assertion `(status != CAIRO_STATUS_SUCCESS && status <= CAIRO_STATUS_INVALID_WEIGHT)' failed.) so it seems to be something more generic than a transmission bug. I rebuilt cairo but that didn't help. I also ran a revdep-rebuild but that found no problems either. Okay, I can confirm this is not a transmission bug. I just noticed that my net-im/pidgin-2.5.2 crashes when i try to send/receive a file. Error is once again: mart@artemis ~ $ pidgin pidgin: cairo.c:87: _cairo_error: Assertion `(status != CAIRO_STATUS_SUCCESS && status <= CAIRO_STATUS_INVALID_WEIGHT)' failed. Aborted Same error reported with firefox: Bug 250159 It would seem that the problem is in x11-libs/cairo-1.8.4 Downgrading to cairo-1.8.2 resolves the problem. Marking this bug invalid as it has nothing to do with transmission. |
