Even worse, it installs them as shared objects! usr/lib/libMiKTeX207-mthelp.so usr/lib/libMiKTeX207-packagemanager.so.2.7.3107 usr/lib/libMiKTeX207-app.so.2.7.3107 usr/lib/libMiKTeX207-md5.so.2.7.3107 usr/lib/libMiKTeX207-mspack.so.2.7.3107 usr/lib/libMiKTeX207-uriparser.so.2.7.3107 usr/lib/libMiKTeX207-expat.so.2.7.3107 usr/lib/libMiKTeX207-core.so.2.7.3107 usr/lib/libMiKTeX207-zlib.so.2.7.3107 usr/lib/libMiKTeX207-popt.so.2.7.3107 usr/lib/libMiKTeX207-lzma.so.2.7.3107 usr/lib/libMiKTeX207-bzip2.so.2.7.3107 usr/lib/libMiKTeX207-extractor.so.2.7.3107 Finally reported upstream. And upstream denied to unbundle...fine :( Soon it is time to last-rite it... So why not lastrite it? > And upstream denied to unbundle...fine :(
Indeed.
Well as of now, mpm seems to be the only package manager that can do updates individually. That's very much in the spirit of gentoo, and I like to use it. Maybe it's time to check out app-portage/g-ctan?
Bundling all these libraries is a no-go though. I say +1 for last rites.
Agreed, last rited. Has been removed from tree. |
