Well that's because you add -ggdb to your CFLAGS, which enables building of all the debugging symbols (and takes lots of more space and time), guess we should just check for this in the ebuild and print an according warning (like we already do with the debug use flag) D'oh. Thanks for spotting this! I completely missed this since this is supposed to be my stable machine so it should not have any debugging info. I now recall debugging a very specific xemacs issue on it quite some time ago, and I guess I never changed back the CFLAGS. |
