Windows 2000 Terminal Server license problem patch
I don't think we can have *hacks* in portage tree. Assigning to maintainer for for final word. From http://www.rdesktop.org/old-archive/2002/msg00053.html , it does not seem very clear legally speaking (as it makes rdesktop identify as a legal windows 2000 server). As it was never added upstream, I'd rather not add it in our ebuild ;) (In reply to comment #3) > From http://www.rdesktop.org/old-archive/2002/msg00053.html , it does not seem > very clear legally speaking (as it makes rdesktop identify as a legal windows > 2000 server). So, the name hacking is'nt a very userfriendly solution, because 1) GUI frontends doesn't supports it, 2) It's an awful hack. If you have a link explaining why this patch never got included and/or that it's ok to use it (the link I posted is not clear on that), I'll gladly add it to portage ebuild. In the meantime you can of course use it in your local overlay ;) |
