Comment 2 Rafał Mużyło 2008-11-28 14:12:21 UTC
Let's start with a simple question:
what does 'ls -l /usr/lib/libGL.so' print ?
Comment 3 Martin Tee 2008-11-28 14:29:55 UTC
copernicus htdocs # ls -l /usr/lib/libGL.so
ls: cannot access /usr/lib/libGL.so: No such file or directory

Although, that said, I have an awful lot of OpenGL libs emerged.

TBTG.

Comment 4 Rafał Mużyło 2008-11-28 15:06:41 UTC
See 'eselect opengl list' and then reselect with
'eselest opengl set <number>' even if reports as selected.
Comment 5 Jeroen Roovers gentoo-dev 2008-12-01 17:44:01 UTC
Please do that and reopen the bug reopen if that doesn't fix the issue.
Comment 6 Rafał Mużyło 2008-12-04 01:36:23 UTC
*** Bug 249750 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. ***
Comment 7 Rafał Mużyło 2008-12-04 01:38:49 UTC
Reopening your own bug is done by reopening that but,
not opening a new one.

Paste output of 'eselect opengl list'.

*Please*. :)
Comment 9 Martin Tee 2008-12-04 05:59:27 UTC
Really sorry for the delay.

copernicus hwmon # eselect opengl list
Available OpenGL implementations:
  [1] nvidia *
  [2] xorg-x11
Comment 10 Rafał Mużyło 2008-12-04 13:36:26 UTC
As you do have two positions on that list,
try resetting it as I already said:
-set it to 2
-then set it back to 1
Afterwards, check the output of 'ls -l /usr/lib/libGL.so' again.
Comment 11 Mr. Bones. (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2008-12-07 13:33:48 UTC
reopen with that information please.
Comment 12 Chris Forsyth 2009-04-03 05:09:02 UTC
I do have to say - nice:

skimp skimpydog # ls -l /usr/lib/libGL.so
ls: cannot access /usr/lib/libGL.so: No such file or directory
skimp skimpydog # eselect opengl list
Available OpenGL implementations:
  [1] nvidia *
  [2] xorg-x11
skimp skimpydog # eselect opengl set xorg-x11
Switching to xorg-x11 OpenGL interface... done
skimp skimpydog # ls -l /usr/lib/libGL.so
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 37 Apr  3 00:02 /usr/lib/libGL.so -> /usr/lib/opengl/xorg-x11/lib/libGL.so
skimp skimpydog #

Point proven.
