I'm reporting this bug since repoman issued a warning about a file bigger than 20KiB.

Big files should be moved to mirrors, or otherwise stored outside the main cvs tree, since the cvs/rsync tree is downloaded by all users, whether they'll use your package or not.

Diego,
no one seems to be maintaining xcdroast at the moment, there's a new version (see bug 243246) to go into portage, and quite a few if not all of the patches can be stripped out.
Thomas Niederreiter was very quick to respond and helpful when I contacted him.
