(In reply to comment #0) > Steps to Reproduce: > 1. Add ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="~amd64" to /etc/make.conf > 2. emerge gnome-control-center Did you fully update your system using "emerge -DuN world" before updating gnome-control-center? Thanks Created attachment 173420 [details]
Build log
During the past month I've successfully gone through the following steps: 1) Upgrading GCC to 4.3.2 and glibc to 2.8 2) Upgrading Portage to 2.2 3) Upgrading to Baselayout 2 (yesterday actually) Everything has been flawless so I felt brave enough to go ~amd64 after this. I have successfully completed an emerge -e @system and rebooted after that. This error happens during my emerge -e @installed and when I have only 60 packages left of 740 so it has been very successful. I'm doing an emerge uDN @world right now to see if I can finish the remaining upgrades atleast. Will --depclean and retry emerge -e @installed after that unless you know there's something wrong with my setup. Thanks for your attention. :-) Hmm, has gnome-2.24 been added recently to Portage? I update daily but I notice gnome-base/gnome and gnome-base/gnome-light only have ebuilds for 2.22* in my local copy. After doing an emerge -uDN @world on the remaining packages (and solving one missing dependency and a block during that process) I was able to do a revdep-rebuild afterwards and emerge gnome-control-center without problem. I will run another emerge -e @installed now but for now this is a non-issue for me. Feel free to close the bug. Thanks for the follow up. Please don't hesitate to open a new bug if you have any issues. Thanks Just for future googlers, this was apparently related to gnome-base/gail-1000 blocking x11-libs/gtk+-2.14* described in other bug reports. My system was still att gtk+-2.12 when this error happened. Upgrading gtk+ and solving the blocker also solved the compile error in gnome-control-center. Sorry for all the noise. |
