I've just updated dev-libs/libxml2-2.7.2-r1 and now in
/usr/share/doc there are two libxml2 directories.
This is not a big bug but anyway ...

I've re-emerged with USE flags "doc examples" and
now I have in /usr/share/doc:

Stop libxml2 installing multiple directories in /usr/share/doc

Here's suggestion to fix this for libxml2-2.7.2-r2.ebuild and also bring the python directory under /usr/share/doc/${PF} too.

patch looks fine.

fixed without a bump in 2.7.3-r1. Thanks for reporting and providing a patch.
