I'm not actually sure how to fix this, I can't see an obvious reason why dev-perl/Mail-SRS is trying to install /usr/bin/srs, seeing as it appears to be a perl module for interfacing to SRS, (http://search.cpan.org/~shevek/Mail-SRS-0.31/lib/Mail/SRS.pm)

They should probably block each other as Mail::SRS appears to be part of libsrs2.

I'm going to be away on business for the next couple of days, but I'll try and look at it further this weekend.

When can you fix it?
This weekend wasn't now :)
Comment 4 Colin Morey (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2008-12-07 12:45:57 UTC
mail-filter/libsrs_alt will now block Mail-SRS as of version 1.0

But mail-filter/libsrs_alt if already install (as dependency of exim[srs]) dont block dev-perl/Mail-SRS

We can install /usr/bin/srs under a different name? That would be the best solution. /usr/bin/srs for perl and /usr/bin/srs_alt for alt package
