We'll need a scenario for why we should make this a use flag. Right now, I just don't see any legitimate reasons for why one would not want largefile support. Ahh... Well, on Gentoo we agreed long ago that we would use only largefile support, exactly for this reason. Just pass -D_FILE_OFFSET_BITS=64 -D_LARGEFILE_SOURCE to your C(XX)FLAGS when compiling xmms2 or beat their devs over the head with a blunt object till enlightenment comes to them. Closing as INVALID, this bug exists in xmms2, not in any portage program. |
