Description David Nielsen 2003-07-17 14:58:43 UTC
I noticed while emerging OpenOffice that even though /etc/profile.env' ROOTPATH
has /usr/X11R6/bin in it the emerge session bobms out with a message saying that
xmfmk is not found (it's installed and in path in the same shell as the emerge
session is started).

I then noticed that the OpenOffice ebuild prompted a warning that which java
returned no java binary.

Same problem it's in path, but emerge is unable to find it - does emerge
redefine PATH ?

I noticed other people were having problems with xmfmk missing also even though
it's installed on many other ebuilds (kde-base fx.)

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge ebuild that depends on xmkmf being present
2. notice failure
3. kick box repeatedly

Actual Results:
failure - xmkmf not found

Expected Results:
succesful emerge
