Description Diego Elio Pettenò (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2008-11-15 17:54:01 UTC
I'm reporting this bug because the package in summary fails to build when forcing --as-needed on through spec files (check out http://blog.flameeyes.eu/2008/11/14/problems-and-mitigation-strategies-for-as-needed for details).

Check the attached build log.

Thanks,
Diego

Treecleaner you should consider removing this _again_; Donnie re-added it after X.org 7 because stuff supposedly used it; I can find _no_ ebuild depending on it, it's a leaf, and the ChangeLog consists of:

- Donnie resurrecting and fixing it in March 2006;
- two fixes from me and two from Armin for autotools;
- one metadata change.

@x11: What's up with this package? What uses it?
Comment 4 Rémi Cardona (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2009-07-04 06:38:17 UTC
Honestly, I think this can be "safely" treecleaned. Feel free to p.mask it, I couldn't find anything in portage that uses it, HOMEPAGE is down, the only code I found is still lying in X's cvs repository (it wasn't migrated to git), ...

Only package I found that used to use dgs was gtkDPS, which Cardoe treecleaned more than 2 years ago...

Cheers

sci-libs/opencascade in the science overlay uses app-text/dgs

thx

@sci: Move app-text/dgs to your overlay?

removed
Comment 9 Etienne Lorriaux 2009-09-17 16:57:49 UTC
I've just imported in science overlay for the opencascade dependency. Can someone tag the bug with science overlay?
