All versions of gnome-extra/music-applet in portage depends on the deprecated dev-python/numeric, but is not needed since 2.2.1 version (see its chagelog, revision number 128). So please fix.

Note that I don't use this app and I haven't tested it, I'm only saying what upstream says.
