I did run revdep-rebuild and hit the problem again, BUT, I'm trying out unstable portage on this machine so that doesn't probably say much (portage-2.2_rc13). I just wanted to point to http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-713934.html for the quick and dirty fix - creating a link from /usr/lib/libcaca.la to /usr/lib/libcucul.la. Original submitter here: I did run revdep-rebuild, along with various other updates, and somewhere along the line the symlink did get created. Sadly I don't know exactly what did it. (In reply to comment #3) I had the same problem which was fixed after revdep-rebuild (so resolution is OK) but the file/link was not created as in your case. Is it maybe a leftover from attempts to fix it? Try qfile /usr/lib/libcucul.la to see if it belongs to some package and if it doesn't, delete it and try a revdep-rebuild again. This bug seems to be about the same issues as bugs #245328 and #249850 but none is marked as duplicate - maybe somebody should change that. |
